- 2 slices bread
- 2 large Grade A eggs
- Salted butter (spreadable and at room temperature)
- Kosher salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Using a sturdy glass, press down in the center of each bread slice to make a well for the egg.
- Butter each slice of bread with salted butter.
- Place a rack in the air fryer basket and spray it with oil.
- Crack one of the eggs into a small dish and pour it into the indentation of one bread slice, then repeat with the second egg and bread slice.
- Sprinkle kosher salt and pepper on top of the eggs.
- Air fry at 375°F for 6 minutes for an over-easy runny egg yolk, or add another minute or two for a firmer yolk.
- Carefully remove the egg toast from the air fryer and serve hot.
Notes
Best enjoyed fresh. Customize with toppings like avocado or cheese.
