Air Fryer Egg Toast

A quick and easy breakfast featuring crispy bread topped with perfectly cooked eggs, made healthier in an air fryer.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 slices bread
  • 2 large Grade A eggs
  • Salted butter (spreadable and at room temperature)
  • Kosher salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Using a sturdy glass, press down in the center of each bread slice to make a well for the egg.
  2. Butter each slice of bread with salted butter.
  3. Place a rack in the air fryer basket and spray it with oil.
  4. Crack one of the eggs into a small dish and pour it into the indentation of one bread slice, then repeat with the second egg and bread slice.
  5. Sprinkle kosher salt and pepper on top of the eggs.
  6. Air fry at 375°F for 6 minutes for an over-easy runny egg yolk, or add another minute or two for a firmer yolk.
  7. Carefully remove the egg toast from the air fryer and serve hot.

Notes

Best enjoyed fresh. Customize with toppings like avocado or cheese.
