Air Fryer Protein Bagels

Air Fryer Protein Bagels are a healthier twist on traditional bagels, packed with protein and perfect for breakfast or a snack.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 2 teaspoons baking powder
  • Pinch of salt (optional)
  • 1 cup + 2 tablespoons cottage cheese (2% or 4%)
  • 1 egg (optional)
  • Toppings: everything seasoning, poppy seeds, sesame seeds

Instructions

  1. Add flour to a medium bowl and mix with baking powder; optionally add salt.
  2. Make a well in the center and add cottage cheese; mix until chunky.
  3. Knead the dough on a floured surface for 1-2 minutes until semi-smooth.
  4. Divide into 4 sections, rolling each into a 6-7 inch log and form bagels.
  5. Whisk egg with a splash of water or milk and brush over bagels; add toppings.
  6. Preheat air fryer to 300°F and line the basket.
  7. Place bagels in the air fryer; cook for 15-17 minutes until golden brown.
  8. Let cool for at least 15 minutes before slicing and serving.
