- 2 ripe bananas
- 2 cups rolled oats
- 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
- 1/4 cup honey or maple syrup (optional)
- 1/4 cup chopped nuts or chocolate chips (optional)
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a mixing bowl, mash the ripe bananas until smooth.
- Add the rolled oats, cinnamon, honey or maple syrup, salt, and vanilla extract to the mashed bananas. Mix until well combined.
- If using, fold in chopped nuts or chocolate chips.
- Pour the mixture into a greased or lined baking dish and spread it evenly.
- Bake for 20-25 minutes or until the edges are golden brown.
- Allow to cool before slicing into bars.
- Enjoy your bars as a snack or breakfast!
Notes
Store the bars in an airtight container at room temperature for up to three days or in the fridge for up to a week. They can also be frozen for up to three months.
