Beef and Broccoli Stir-Fry

A quick and flavorful dish that combines tender beef and vibrant broccoli in a savory sauce, perfect for busy weeknights.

  • Total Time: 30 minutes
  • Yield: 4 servings 1x

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 lb beef, thinly sliced (flank steak or sirloin)
  • 2 cups broccoli florets
  • 3 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoons oyster sauce
  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch
  • 1 tablespoon vegetable oil
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon ginger, minced
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. In a large mixing bowl, combine the soy sauce, oyster sauce, and cornstarch. Add the sliced beef, ensuring it’s well coated. Let it marinate for 10 minutes.
  2. Heat the vegetable oil in a large pan or wok over medium-high heat. Once hot, add the minced garlic and ginger, sautéing for about 30 seconds until fragrant.
  3. Add the marinated beef to the pan and stir-fry until it’s nicely browned.
  4. Toss in the broccoli florets and add a splash of water; cover the pan to steam for 3-4 minutes or until the broccoli is tender yet still bright green.
  5. Lastly, season with salt and pepper to taste, then serve hot.

Notes

Marinate the beef longer for enhanced flavor. You can use cauliflower instead of broccoli for a healthier option.
