Cajun Chicken Sloppy Joes

Ingredients

  • 1 pound ground chicken
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 1 bell pepper, chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon Cajun seasoning
  • 1 can diced tomatoes (14.5 oz)
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Burger buns
  • Optional: sliced pickles, shredded cheese

Instructions

  1. In a skillet over medium heat, cook the chopped onion and bell pepper until they are softened.
  2. Add the minced garlic and cook for another minute.
  3. Stir in the ground chicken and cook until it is browned.
  4. Mix in the Cajun seasoning, diced tomatoes, Worcestershire sauce, and add salt and pepper to taste.
  5. Let the mixture simmer for 10 minutes.
  6. Serve the mixture on burger buns and add optional toppings like pickles and cheese if desired.

Notes

Adjust the amount of Cajun seasoning for your heat preference. Can be made ahead and stored in the refrigerator for 3 to 4 days.
