Cheesy Meatball Subs

Delicious and comforting meatball subs topped with rich marinara sauce and gooey melted cheese, perfect for any meal or gathering.

Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1/4 cup chopped parsley
  • 1 egg
  • 2 cups marinara sauce
  • 8 slices mozzarella cheese
  • 4 hoagie rolls
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. In a bowl, combine ground beef, breadcrumbs, Parmesan cheese, parsley, egg, salt, and pepper. Mix until well combined.
  3. Shape the mixture into meatballs, about 1 inch in diameter.
  4. In a pan over medium heat, cook the meatballs until browned on all sides.
  5. Pour marinara sauce over the meatballs and simmer for 10 minutes.
  6. Cut the hoagie rolls and place meatballs inside.
  7. Top with mozzarella cheese and bake in the oven for 10-15 minutes until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
  8. Serve immediately.

Notes

For healthier meatballs, use lean ground beef and add spices for more flavor. Can substitute meats and cheeses for a unique twist.
