- 1 lb ground beef
- 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
- 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1/4 cup chopped parsley
- 1 egg
- 2 cups marinara sauce
- 8 slices mozzarella cheese
- 4 hoagie rolls
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
- In a bowl, combine ground beef, breadcrumbs, Parmesan cheese, parsley, egg, salt, and pepper. Mix until well combined.
- Shape the mixture into meatballs, about 1 inch in diameter.
- In a pan over medium heat, cook the meatballs until browned on all sides.
- Pour marinara sauce over the meatballs and simmer for 10 minutes.
- Cut the hoagie rolls and place meatballs inside.
- Top with mozzarella cheese and bake in the oven for 10-15 minutes until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
- Serve immediately.
Notes
For healthier meatballs, use lean ground beef and add spices for more flavor. Can substitute meats and cheeses for a unique twist.
