Cheesy Steak and Rice Skillet

Ingredients

  • 1 lb steak, diced
  • 1 cup rice, uncooked
  • 2 cups beef broth
  • 1 cup cheese, shredded (cheddar or mozzarella)
  • 1 onion, diced
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Olive oil for cooking

Instructions

  1. In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat.
  2. Add diced onion and garlic, and sauté until softened.
  3. Add diced steak to the skillet, season with salt and pepper, and cook until browned.
  4. Stir in uncooked rice and beef broth. Bring to a boil, then reduce heat to low and cover.
  5. Cook for 15-20 minutes, or until rice is tender and liquid is absorbed.
  6. Remove from heat, sprinkle shredded cheese on top, and cover until cheese is melted.
  7. Serve warm.
