- 1 lb ground chicken
- 1/2 onion, finely chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/4 cup fresh parsley, chopped
- 1 tsp ground cumin
- 1 tsp ground coriander
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/4 tsp black pepper
- 1/4 tsp cayenne pepper (optional)
- 1 cup plain yogurt
- 2 cloves garlic, minced (for sauce)
- 1 tbsp lemon juice
- Salt to taste
Instructions
- In a large bowl, combine ground chicken, chopped onion, minced garlic, parsley, cumin, coriander, salt, black pepper, and cayenne pepper. Mix until well combined.
- Form the mixture into small oval shapes to make kofta.
- Preheat a grill or skillet over medium heat and cook the kofta for about 5-7 minutes on each side, or until fully cooked through and golden brown.
- To make the garlic yogurt sauce, mix yogurt, minced garlic, lemon juice, and salt in a small bowl.
- Serve the hot kofta with the creamy garlic yogurt sauce on the side.
Notes
Adjust the spices according to your taste preferences. Soak wooden skewers in water before grilling to prevent burning.
