  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup light brown sugar, packed
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon, divided
  • 3 tablespoons granulated sugar (for topping)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Grease or line an 8×8-inch baking pan with parchment paper.
  3. In a large bowl, combine the melted butter and brown sugar. Whisk until well combined.
  4. Add the egg, honey, and vanilla extract; whisk until blended.
  5. Stir in the flour, salt, and ½ teaspoon of cinnamon until just combined.
  6. Pour the batter into the prepared baking pan and spread it evenly.
  7. In a small bowl, mix 3 tablespoons granulated sugar with the remaining ½ teaspoon of cinnamon and sprinkle over the batter.
  8. Bake for 22–25 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
  9. Let the pan cool completely before cutting into squares.
