Ingredients
Scale
- 4 chicken breasts
- 2 cups chicken broth
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1 cup long-grain white rice
- 1 onion, chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 teaspoon paprika
- 1 cup frozen peas (optional)
Instructions
- In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat.
- Season the chicken breasts with salt, pepper, and paprika, then add to the skillet. Cook until browned on both sides, about 5-7 minutes. Remove and set aside.
- In the same skillet, add the chopped onion and garlic, sautéing until fragrant.
- Stir in the rice, chicken broth, and heavy cream. Bring to a simmer.
- Return the chicken to the skillet, cover, and reduce heat to low.
- Cook for about 20-25 minutes, or until the rice is tender and the chicken is cooked through.
- If using, stir in the peas during the last 5 minutes of cooking.
- Serve warm and enjoy your creamy comfort food!
Notes
For extra flavor, marinate the chicken in the spices for a few hours before cooking. You can substitute heavy cream with whole milk for a lighter version.
