Crispy Baked Honey Mustard Tofu Tenders

Delicious and healthy crispy baked tofu tenders with a perfect balance of sweetness and tanginess from honey and mustard.

Ingredients

  • 1 block firm tofu
  • 3 tablespoons honey or agave syrup
  • 3 tablespoons mustard
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 cup breadcrumbs
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Olive oil spray or a small amount of oil

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Press the tofu to remove excess moisture and cut it into strips.
  3. In a bowl, mix honey and mustard, then add garlic powder and onion powder.
  4. Dip each tofu strip into the marinade, then coat with breadcrumbs.
  5. Place the coated tofu on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  6. Lightly spray with olive oil.
  7. Bake for about 25-30 minutes, flipping halfway through, until golden brown and crispy.
  8. Serve with your favorite dip.

Notes

Press the tofu well to get rid of excess moisture for crispier tenders. Customize breadcrumbs for extra flavor.
