- 1 lb ground beef
- 1 cup shredded cheese (cheddar or similar)
- 1 teaspoon taco seasoning
- 10–12 small flour or corn tortillas
- Oil for frying (optional)
- Sour cream for serving
- Salsa for serving
Instructions
- In a skillet over medium heat, cook the ground beef until browned. Drain excess fat.
- Stir in cheese and taco seasoning until well combined.
- Warm tortillas in a microwave or on a skillet.
- Place a small amount of the beef mixture in the center of each tortilla and roll tightly.
- For frying, heat oil in a pan and fry taquitos until golden and crispy. Alternatively, bake in a preheated oven at 400°F (200°C) for 15-20 minutes until crispy.
- Serve warm with sour cream and salsa for dipping.
Notes
To avoid soggy taquitos, store leftovers properly and consider reheating in the oven.
