Crockpot French Dip Sandwiches

Delicious and hearty French Dip Sandwiches made in a slow cooker, featuring tender beef and flavorful au jus for dipping.

Ingredients

  • 2 to 3 pounds beef roast
  • 1 packet au jus gravy mix
  • 4 cups beef broth
  • 1 onion, sliced
  • 4 to 6 hoagie rolls
  • Provolone cheese (optional)
  • Black pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Place the beef roast in the slow cooker.
  2. Sprinkle the au jus gravy mix over the roast.
  3. Pour the beef broth over the meat and add the sliced onion.
  4. Cover and cook on low for 8 hours or until the beef is tender and easily shredded.
  5. Once cooked, shred the beef with two forks and stir it back into the juices.
  6. Serve the beef on hoagie rolls, topped with a slice of provolone cheese if desired, and dip into the au jus.

Notes

Use a good quality beef roast for the best flavor. Toast hoagie rolls for added texture.
