Crockpot French Dip Sandwiches

Easy and delicious sandwiches made with tender beef chuck roast, served with rich broth for dipping.

Ingredients

  • 2 pounds beef chuck roast
  • 1 onion, sliced
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup beef broth
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 4 hoagie rolls
  • 8 slices provolone cheese
  • Fresh parsley for garnish (optional)

Instructions

  1. Place the beef chuck roast in the slow cooker.
  2. Add sliced onion, minced garlic, beef broth, Worcestershire sauce, salt, and pepper.
  3. Cover and cook on low for 480 minutes or high for 240 minutes until the beef is tender.
  4. Remove the beef and shred it with two forks.
  5. Strain the broth and reserve it for dipping.
  6. Place shredded beef on hoagie rolls and top with provolone cheese.
  7. Broil for 1-2 minutes until the cheese is melted.
  8. Serve with the reserved au jus for dipping.

Notes

Adjust seasoning to taste and consider toasting rolls for added texture. Leftover beef can be used in other meals.
