- 1/2 cup butter
- 1 cup sugar
- 2 large eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/3 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
- 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon baking powder
- 1 cup fresh raspberries
- 1 tablespoon sugar (for raspberries)
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease the baking pan.
- Melt the butter in a saucepan over low heat, then mix in sugar, eggs, and vanilla extract.
- Stir in the cocoa powder, flour, salt, and baking powder until well combined.
- Pour half the batter into the prepared baking pan and spread evenly.
- Mash the raspberries with 1 tablespoon of sugar and spoon over the batter.
- Pour the remaining batter on top of the raspberries and swirl gently with a knife.
- Bake for 20-25 minutes, checking for doneness with a toothpick.
- Let cool in the pan and cut into squares to serve.
Notes
For an extra touch, serve with ice cream or drizzle chocolate sauce on top. Store in an airtight container or freeze for later use.
