- 2 cups flour
- 1 1/2 teaspoons baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
- 1/4 teaspoon nutmeg
- 1 1/2 cups mashed bananas (3–5 bananas)
- 1 cup white sugar
- 2 eggs
- 1/2 cup oil
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a loaf pan with nonstick cooking spray.
- In a small bowl, mix together flour, baking powder, baking soda, salt, cinnamon, and nutmeg. Set this mixture aside.
- In a larger mixing bowl, combine sugar, oil, eggs, and the mashed bananas. Mix well until fully combined.
- Add the flour mixture to the wet ingredients and stir just until all ingredients are mixed. Be careful not to overmix.
- Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan.
- Bake for 45-55 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
- Remove from the oven and let it cool completely before slicing.
Notes
For the best flavor, use ripe bananas with brown spots. Experiment with add-ins like nuts or chocolate chips.
