- 2 chicken breasts
- 8 oz egg noodles
- 4 tablespoons butter
- 2 cups chicken broth
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 1 tablespoon garlic powder
- 1 tablespoon onion powder
- Parsley for garnish (optional)
Instructions
- In a large pan, melt 2 tablespoons of butter over medium heat.
- Season the chicken breasts with salt, pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder. Place chicken in the pan and cook for about 6-7 minutes on each side until cooked through. Remove and set aside.
- In the same pan, add the chicken broth and bring to a boil.
- Add the egg noodles and cook according to package instructions until al dente.
- Once the noodles are cooked, reduce heat, and stir in the remaining 2 tablespoons of butter until melted and noodles are coated.
- Slice the cooked chicken and add it back to the pan, mixing everything together.
- Serve hot, garnished with parsley if desired.
Notes
Make sure to not overcook the chicken; it should be juicy but fully cooked. Use a meat thermometer if you have one. Chicken should reach 165°F (75°C). You can add your favorite vegetables for extra nutrition and flavor.
