Easy One-Pan Chicken with Buttered Noodles

Ingredients

  • 2 chicken breasts
  • 8 oz egg noodles
  • 4 tablespoons butter
  • 2 cups chicken broth
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 tablespoon garlic powder
  • 1 tablespoon onion powder
  • Parsley for garnish (optional)

Instructions

  1. In a large pan, melt 2 tablespoons of butter over medium heat.
  2. Season the chicken breasts with salt, pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder. Place chicken in the pan and cook for about 6-7 minutes on each side until cooked through. Remove and set aside.
  3. In the same pan, add the chicken broth and bring to a boil.
  4. Add the egg noodles and cook according to package instructions until al dente.
  5. Once the noodles are cooked, reduce heat, and stir in the remaining 2 tablespoons of butter until melted and noodles are coated.
  6. Slice the cooked chicken and add it back to the pan, mixing everything together.
  7. Serve hot, garnished with parsley if desired.

Notes

Make sure to not overcook the chicken; it should be juicy but fully cooked. Use a meat thermometer if you have one. Chicken should reach 165°F (75°C). You can add your favorite vegetables for extra nutrition and flavor.
