Instructions

  1. In a bowl, whisk together the flour, granulated sugar, baking powder, and salt until combined.
  2. In another bowl, whisk together the milk, eggs, and vanilla extract until mixed.
  3. Gradually pour the wet mixture into the dry mixture. Stir gently until just combined.
  4. In a deep pan, heat the vegetable oil over medium heat.
  5. Drop spoonfuls of the batter into the hot oil and fry for 2-3 minutes, turning occasionally until golden brown.
  6. Remove the beignets from the oil using a slotted spoon and drain on paper towels.
  7. Dust the warm beignets with powdered sugar and serve immediately.
