Ingredients
Scale
- 1 cup all-purpose flour (120 grams)
- 1/4 cup granulated sugar
- 1/3 cup packed brown sugar (light or dark)
- ½ cup butter (salted or unsalted, softened)
- 2–4 tbsp milk (more or less as needed)
- ½ tsp vanilla extract
- Pinch salt (omit if using salted butter)
- ½ cup chocolate chips
Instructions
- Microwave the flour in 20-second intervals until it reaches 165℉, which should take about 40-60 seconds. You can also bake it on a baking sheet in a 350℉ oven for 3-5 minutes. After heating, whisk or sift the flour to remove lumps and let it cool.
- Using a stand mixer or hand-held mixer, cream the softened butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar on medium speed until light and fluffy.
- Add the cooled flour, vanilla extract, and salt. Then, add the milk one tablespoon at a time until you reach the desired consistency.
- Gently fold in the chocolate chips with a spatula or spoon. Enjoy your cookie dough!
