Edible Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough

Indulge in this safe-to-eat raw Edible Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough that captures the classic flavors without the baking.

  • Total Time: 15 minutes
  • Yield: 4 servings 1x

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour (120 grams)
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/3 cup packed brown sugar (light or dark)
  • ½ cup butter (salted or unsalted, softened)
  • 24 tbsp milk (more or less as needed)
  • ½ tsp vanilla extract
  • Pinch salt (omit if using salted butter)
  • ½ cup chocolate chips

Instructions

  1. Microwave the flour in 20-second intervals until it reaches 165℉, which should take about 40-60 seconds. You can also bake it on a baking sheet in a 350℉ oven for 3-5 minutes. After heating, whisk or sift the flour to remove lumps and let it cool.
  2. Using a stand mixer or hand-held mixer, cream the softened butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar on medium speed until light and fluffy.
  3. Add the cooled flour, vanilla extract, and salt. Then, add the milk one tablespoon at a time until you reach the desired consistency.
  4. Gently fold in the chocolate chips with a spatula or spoon. Enjoy your cookie dough!

Notes

Store any leftover dough in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 1 week or freeze for up to 3 months.
