- 2 tbsp avocado oil
- 1 lb ground chicken
- 2 cups chopped broccoli
- 1 small onion (finely chopped)
- 1 tsp paprika
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/4 tsp pepper
- Green onions and sesame seeds for garnish
- 1/2 cup buffalo sauce
- 3 tbsp honey or brown sugar
- 3 tbsp soy sauce
- 1 tbsp rice vinegar
- 3 cloves garlic (grated or minced)
- 1 tsp fresh ginger (grated)
Instructions
- In a small bowl, whisk together buffalo sauce, honey, soy sauce, rice vinegar, garlic, and ginger until well combined. Set aside.
- Heat avocado oil in a large skillet or wok over medium-high heat. Add the minced onion and sauté for about 1 minute until fragrant.
- Add the ground chicken to the skillet, breaking it apart with a spatula. Cook until browned and cooked through.
- Add chopped broccoli, paprika, salt, and pepper into the skillet, stirring to combine with the chicken.
- Pour the prepared firecracker sauce over the mixture and ensure all ingredients are evenly coated.
- Cook for an additional 5 minutes until the broccoli reaches the desired tenderness.
- Garnish with sliced green onions and sesame seeds before serving.
- Spoon the mixture over steamed rice, noodles, or in lettuce wraps.
Notes
Adjust the buffalo sauce for desired spiciness. You can also substitute ground chicken with turkey, beef, or tofu.
