Fried Mac and Cheese Bites

Crispy on the outside and creamy on the inside, these fried mac and cheese bites are the perfect snack for parties or movie nights.

  • Total Time: 45 minutes
  • Yield: 4 servings 1x

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 cups cooked macaroni
  • 1 cup shredded cheese (cheddar or your choice)
  • 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1/4 cup milk
  • 1 large egg
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Oil for frying

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, mix the cooked macaroni, cheese, milk, egg, salt, and pepper until well combined.
  2. Form the mixture into small bite-sized balls.
  3. Roll each ball in breadcrumbs to coat.
  4. Heat oil in a deep pan over medium heat.
  5. Fry the bites in batches until golden brown, about 3-4 minutes.
  6. Remove and drain on paper towels.
  7. Serve warm with your favorite dipping sauce.

Notes

Chill the mixture in the fridge for about 30 minutes before forming balls to help them hold their shape better while frying.
