Ingredients

  • 20 oz cheese tortellini
  • 1 lb steak (sirloin or ribeye)
  • Salt
  • Black pepper
  • Garlic powder
  • Smoked paprika
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 4 tbsp butter
  • 5 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 3/4 cup whole milk
  • 1 1/4 cups parmesan, shredded or freshly grated
  • Parsley, chopped (optional)
  • Red pepper flakes (optional)
  • Cracked black pepper (optional garnish)

Instructions

  1. Boil a large pot of salted water and cook tortellini according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.
  2. Season the steak with salt, black pepper, garlic powder, and smoked paprika on both sides.
  3. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat and sear the steak for 4-5 minutes on each side, or to desired doneness. Remove and let rest before slicing.
  4. Melt butter in the same skillet over medium heat, sauté minced garlic for 1 minute.
  5. Add heavy cream and whole milk, stirring until smooth.
  6. Gradually stir in parmesan cheese until melted and well combined.
  7. Add the cooked tortellini to the sauce and fold gently to coat. Mix in sliced steak.
  8. Sprinkle with parsley, red pepper flakes, and cracked black pepper before serving.

Notes

For extra flavor, marinate the steak in spices for a few hours. Use fresh parmesan for the best taste. Adjust garlic and spice levels as desired.
