- 20 oz cheese tortellini
- 1 lb steak (sirloin or ribeye)
- Salt
- Black pepper
- Garlic powder
- Smoked paprika
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 4 tbsp butter
- 5 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 3/4 cup whole milk
- 1 1/4 cups parmesan, shredded or freshly grated
- Parsley, chopped (optional)
- Red pepper flakes (optional)
- Cracked black pepper (optional garnish)
Instructions
- Boil a large pot of salted water and cook tortellini according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.
- Season the steak with salt, black pepper, garlic powder, and smoked paprika on both sides.
- Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat and sear the steak for 4-5 minutes on each side, or to desired doneness. Remove and let rest before slicing.
- Melt butter in the same skillet over medium heat, sauté minced garlic for 1 minute.
- Add heavy cream and whole milk, stirring until smooth.
- Gradually stir in parmesan cheese until melted and well combined.
- Add the cooked tortellini to the sauce and fold gently to coat. Mix in sliced steak.
- Sprinkle with parsley, red pepper flakes, and cracked black pepper before serving.
Notes
For extra flavor, marinate the steak in spices for a few hours. Use fresh parmesan for the best taste. Adjust garlic and spice levels as desired.
