- 1 pound ground beef
- 4 medium potatoes, sliced
- 1 can cream of mushroom soup
- 1 cup shredded cheese (cheddar or your choice)
- 1 onion, diced
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a skillet, brown the ground beef with the diced onion; season with salt and pepper.
- In a greased casserole dish, layer the sliced potatoes, followed by the cooked ground beef mixture.
- Pour the cream of mushroom soup over the layers.
- Top with shredded cheese.
- Cover with aluminum foil and bake for 1 hour.
- Remove the foil and bake for an additional 15-20 minutes, until the cheese is bubbly and golden.
Notes
Feel free to add your favorite veggies, and you can substitute the ground beef with turkey for a lighter version.
