Homemade Baked Chicken Tenders

Delicious and healthier homemade baked chicken tenders that are crispy, juicy, and loved by both kids and adults.

  • Total Time: 35 minutes
  • Yield: 4 servings 1x

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 lb chicken breast, cut into strips
  • 1 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1/2 cup flour
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Cooking spray or olive oil

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Set up a breading station with three bowls: one for flour, one for beaten eggs, and one for breadcrumbs mixed with garlic powder, paprika, salt, and pepper.
  3. Dip each chicken strip in flour, then egg, and finally in the breadcrumb mixture, pressing lightly to adhere.
  4. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper and place the coated chicken strips on it, avoiding overcrowding.
  5. Lightly spray chicken strips with cooking spray or drizzle with olive oil.
  6. Bake in the preheated oven for 15-20 minutes, turning halfway through, until golden brown and cooked through.
  7. Let cool slightly before serving with your favorite dipping sauce.

Notes

For added flavor, you can mix in herbs or cayenne for a spicy kick. Use panko breadcrumbs for extra crispiness.
