- 1 cup water
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 3 eggs
- 1 cup sugar
- 1 tablespoon cinnamon
- Nutella for dipping
- Oil for frying
Instructions
- Combine water, butter, and salt in a saucepan over medium heat until boiling.
- Add flour and stir until it forms a ball of dough.
- Remove from heat and let it cool for a few minutes.
- Beat in eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition.
- Heat oil to 350°F (175°C) in a deep fryer or a large pot.
- Pipe small rounds of dough into the hot oil, 2-3 inches apart.
- Fry for 2-3 minutes on each side until golden brown.
- Remove churros from oil with a slotted spoon and drain on paper towels.
- Toss warm churros in a mixture of sugar and cinnamon.
- Serve warm with Nutella for dipping.
Notes
For best results, monitor the oil temperature for even frying. Feel free to experiment with dipping sauces.
