Homemade Churro Bites with Nutella

Delicious homemade churro bites that are crispy on the outside and soft on the inside, served with Nutella for dipping.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup water
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 3 eggs
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 tablespoon cinnamon
  • Nutella for dipping
  • Oil for frying

Instructions

  1. Combine water, butter, and salt in a saucepan over medium heat until boiling.
  2. Add flour and stir until it forms a ball of dough.
  3. Remove from heat and let it cool for a few minutes.
  4. Beat in eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition.
  5. Heat oil to 350°F (175°C) in a deep fryer or a large pot.
  6. Pipe small rounds of dough into the hot oil, 2-3 inches apart.
  7. Fry for 2-3 minutes on each side until golden brown.
  8. Remove churros from oil with a slotted spoon and drain on paper towels.
  9. Toss warm churros in a mixture of sugar and cinnamon.
  10. Serve warm with Nutella for dipping.

Notes

For best results, monitor the oil temperature for even frying. Feel free to experiment with dipping sauces.
