- 3 garlic cloves, minced
- 1 cup chopped white onion (about 1 medium onion)
- 1 lb lean ground beef (93% lean recommended)
- 3 cups broccoli florets, chopped into small pieces
- 1 cup honey garlic sauce (store-bought or homemade)
- 4 cups cooked rice, for serving
- 1 tbsp olive oil, for cooking
Instructions
- Heat a large frying pan over medium heat.
- Add 1 tablespoon of olive oil to the pan. Once hot, add minced garlic and chopped onion. Cook for about 1-2 minutes until the onion is translucent.
- Add lean ground beef, breaking it apart with a spatula. Cook for 3-4 minutes until browned. Drain excess fat if needed.
- Stir in chopped broccoli and cook for another 3-4 minutes until slightly tender.
- Pour honey garlic sauce over the mixture, stir to coat, and cook for an additional 1-2 minutes.
- Serve over cooked rice in bowls and enjoy!
Notes
Garnish with green onions or sesame seeds for added flavor and presentation. This dish stores well and can be made in advance for meals during the week.
