Key Lime Bars

Deliciously sweet and tangy key lime bars with a buttery graham cracker crust, perfect for summer gatherings.

Ingredients

  • 1 ½ cups graham cracker crumbs
  • ½ cup unsalted butter, melted
  • ¼ cup sugar
  • 2 (14-ounce) cans sweetened condensed milk
  • ½ cup fresh key lime juice
  • 3 large egg yolks
  • 1 tablespoon lime zest
  • Optional: whipped cream for serving

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9×9 inch baking dish.
  2. Mix the graham cracker crumbs, melted butter, and sugar in a bowl until combined. Press the mixture into the bottom of the prepared baking dish.
  3. Whisk together the sweetened condensed milk, key lime juice, egg yolks, and lime zest in another bowl until smooth.
  4. Pour the key lime mixture over the crust.
  5. Bake in the preheated oven for 15-20 minutes until set.
  6. Cool and refrigerate for at least 2 hours before cutting into bars. Serve chilled with whipped cream.

Notes

For extra creaminess, serve with whipped cream. Store in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to a week.
