- 4 cod fillets (6 oz each)
- 3 tbsp unsalted butter
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- 4 cloves garlic (minced)
- 3 tbsp freshly squeezed lemon juice
- Zest of 1 lemon
- Salt and pepper (to taste)
- 2 tbsp fresh parsley (chopped)
Instructions
- Pat the cod fillets dry with paper towels and season both sides with salt and pepper.
- In a large skillet over medium heat, melt butter and olive oil together. Add minced garlic and sauté until fragrant.
- Place the seasoned cod fillets skin-side down in the skillet. Cook for 4-5 minutes until the skin is golden brown and crispy.
- Gently flip the fillets, pour in lemon juice, and cook for another 3-4 minutes until the fish flakes easily.
- Remove from heat, garnish with chopped parsley and lemon zest, then serve immediately.
Notes
Ensure to dry the cod fillets well for crispy skin. Fresh garlic enhances flavor. Adjust lemon juice to taste.
