Ingredients
Scale
- 4 chicken breasts, boneless skinless
- 1 cup bread crumbs
- 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
- 2 large eggs
- 1/4 cup milk
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
- In one dish, mix together the bread crumbs, half the Parmesan cheese, Italian seasoning, salt, and black pepper.
- In another dish, beat the eggs together with the milk.
- Put the flour in a third dish.
- Dredge each chicken breast first in the flour, then in the egg mixture, and finally in the breadcrumb mixture, ensuring they are well coated.
- Heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat and cook each chicken breast for 3-4 minutes per side until golden brown.
- Transfer the browned chicken to a baking dish.
- In a bowl, mix the remaining Parmesan cheese with shredded mozzarella and minced garlic, then top the chicken breasts with this mixture.
- Bake in the oven for 20-25 minutes or until cooked through and the cheese is melted and bubbly.
Notes
For extra flavor, marinate the chicken in Italian dressing for a few hours or use panko bread crumbs for a crunchier texture.
