Longhorn Steakhouse Parmesan Chicken

  • 4 chicken breasts, boneless skinless
  • 1 cup bread crumbs
  • 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1/4 cup milk
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. In one dish, mix together the bread crumbs, half the Parmesan cheese, Italian seasoning, salt, and black pepper.
  3. In another dish, beat the eggs together with the milk.
  4. Put the flour in a third dish.
  5. Dredge each chicken breast first in the flour, then in the egg mixture, and finally in the breadcrumb mixture, ensuring they are well coated.
  6. Heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat and cook each chicken breast for 3-4 minutes per side until golden brown.
  7. Transfer the browned chicken to a baking dish.
  8. In a bowl, mix the remaining Parmesan cheese with shredded mozzarella and minced garlic, then top the chicken breasts with this mixture.
  9. Bake in the oven for 20-25 minutes or until cooked through and the cheese is melted and bubbly.

Notes

For extra flavor, marinate the chicken in Italian dressing for a few hours or use panko bread crumbs for a crunchier texture.
