Louisiana Voodoo Fries

A spicy and cheesy twist on classic loaded fries, perfect for parties and game days.

  • Total Time: 35 minutes
  • Yield: 4 servings 1x

Ingredients

Scale
  • 26 ounces frozen French fries
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
  • 2 cups milk
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground white pepper
  • 2 teaspoons ranch seasoning powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon cayenne powder (divided)
  • 8 ounces white cheddar cheese (shredded)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven or air fryer to 400°F.
  2. Arrange frozen fries in a single layer on a baking sheet or air fryer basket. Bake until golden brown according to package instructions.
  3. In a saucepan over medium heat, melt butter and whisk in flour until combined; cook for about 2 minutes.
  4. Gradually add milk while whisking continuously; stir in salt, pepper, ranch seasoning, and half of the cayenne powder.
  5. Lower heat to medium-low and cook until the sauce thickens (about 5 minutes), then stir in shredded cheese until melted and creamy.
  6. Pour the cheese sauce over cooked fries and serve warm.

Notes

For extra heat, add more cayenne powder or even some hot sauce. Use fresh cheese for a creamier sauce.
