Ingredients

- 200g firm tofu, cubed
- 250g mushrooms, sliced
- 2 tablespoons soy sauce
- 1 tablespoon vegetable oil
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 inch ginger, grated
- 1 bell pepper, sliced (optional)
- 1 cup broccoli florets (optional)
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Press the tofu to remove excess moisture, then cut it into cubes.
- Heat the vegetable oil in a medium-sized pan over medium heat, add the tofu cubes and cook until golden and crispy, about 5–7 minutes. Remove and set aside.
- In the same pan, sauté the minced garlic and grated ginger for about 30 seconds.
- Add the sliced mushrooms and cook until tender, about 4–5 minutes.
- If using, add the bell pepper and broccoli, cooking until just tender, about 2–3 minutes.
- Return the crispy tofu to the pan, pour in the soy sauce, and stir to combine.
- Season with salt and pepper to taste and remove from heat.
- Serve hot over steamed rice or on its own.
Notes
For added flavor, you can garnish with sesame seeds, fresh cilantro, or sliced green onions.
