Mushroom and Tofu Stir-Fry

A quick and satisfying dish featuring creamy mushrooms and crispy tofu in a savory sauce.

  • Total Time: 25 minutes
  • Yield: 2 servings 1x

Ingredients

Scale
  • 200g firm tofu, cubed
  • 250g mushrooms, sliced
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon vegetable oil
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 inch ginger, grated
  • 1 bell pepper, sliced (optional)
  • 1 cup broccoli florets (optional)
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Press the tofu to remove excess moisture, then cut it into cubes.
  2. Heat the vegetable oil in a medium-sized pan over medium heat, add the tofu cubes and cook until golden and crispy, about 5–7 minutes. Remove and set aside.
  3. In the same pan, sauté the minced garlic and grated ginger for about 30 seconds.
  4. Add the sliced mushrooms and cook until tender, about 4–5 minutes.
  5. If using, add the bell pepper and broccoli, cooking until just tender, about 2–3 minutes.
  6. Return the crispy tofu to the pan, pour in the soy sauce, and stir to combine.
  7. Season with salt and pepper to taste and remove from heat.
  8. Serve hot over steamed rice or on its own.

Notes

For added flavor, you can garnish with sesame seeds, fresh cilantro, or sliced green onions.
