Ingredients
Scale
- 8 ounces spaghetti or fettuccine
- 4 cloves freshly minced garlic
- 2 cups milk (whole or 2%)
- 1 cup freshly grated Parmesan cheese
- 2 tablespoons butter
- Salt to taste
- Pepper to taste
- Parsley for garnish (optional)
Instructions
- In a large pot, melt 2 tablespoons of butter over medium heat. Add the minced garlic and sauté for 1-2 minutes until fragrant.
- Stir in your choice of pasta, ensuring it’s well-coated with the melted butter. Pour in enough water or broth to cover the pasta and bring to a boil.
- Once boiling, reduce the heat and let it simmer, stirring occasionally, until the pasta is al dente.
- Gradually pour in the milk and mix in the grated Parmesan cheese, stirring continuously until the pasta is enveloped in a creamy sauce.
- Season with salt and pepper to taste, adjusting the flavors to your preference.
- For an added garnish, top with freshly chopped parsley if desired.
Notes
For a healthier twist, swap in whole grain pasta or lactose-free milk. Experiment with adding proteins or vegetables for variety.
