- 1 small head Cabbage (cut into thick slices)
- 2 tablespoons Olive Oil (for brushing)
- 1 pound Ground Beef, Turkey, Chicken or plant-based options
- 1 medium Onion (finely chopped)
- 2 cloves Garlic (minced)
- 1 teaspoon Salt
- 1 teaspoon Black Pepper
- 1 teaspoon Smoked Paprika
- 1 tablespoon Worcestershire Sauce
- 1 large Egg (optional, for binding)
- 1 cup Cheese (for sprinkling on top)
Instructions
- Preheat the Oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Brush each cabbage slice with olive oil and place on a baking sheet.
- In a large bowl, combine ground meat, chopped onion, minced garlic, salt, black pepper, smoked paprika, Worcestershire Sauce, and egg (if using). Mix well.
- Shape the meat mixture into patties and place on each cabbage slice on the baking sheet.
- Bake for about 25-30 minutes, or until the meat is cooked through and the cabbage is tender.
- Sprinkle cheese on top of each burger in the last 5 minutes of baking to let it melt.
- Let cool for a minute before serving.
Notes
Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days; can be reheated in the oven or microwave.
