Oven-Baked Cabbage Burgers

Ingredients

  • 1 small head Cabbage (cut into thick slices)
  • 2 tablespoons Olive Oil (for brushing)
  • 1 pound Ground Beef, Turkey, Chicken or plant-based options
  • 1 medium Onion (finely chopped)
  • 2 cloves Garlic (minced)
  • 1 teaspoon Salt
  • 1 teaspoon Black Pepper
  • 1 teaspoon Smoked Paprika
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire Sauce
  • 1 large Egg (optional, for binding)
  • 1 cup Cheese (for sprinkling on top)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the Oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Brush each cabbage slice with olive oil and place on a baking sheet.
  3. In a large bowl, combine ground meat, chopped onion, minced garlic, salt, black pepper, smoked paprika, Worcestershire Sauce, and egg (if using). Mix well.
  4. Shape the meat mixture into patties and place on each cabbage slice on the baking sheet.
  5. Bake for about 25-30 minutes, or until the meat is cooked through and the cabbage is tender.
  6. Sprinkle cheese on top of each burger in the last 5 minutes of baking to let it melt.
  7. Let cool for a minute before serving.

Notes

Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days; can be reheated in the oven or microwave.
