Ingredients
Scale
- 2 slices of bread
- 2 slices of cheese (such as mozzarella or cheddar)
- 2 tablespoons of pesto
- Butter or olive oil for grilling
Instructions
- Spread pesto on one side of each slice of bread.
- Place a slice of cheese on the non-pesto side of one slice of bread.
- Top with the other slice of bread, pesto side down.
- Heat a skillet over medium heat and add butter or olive oil.
- Place the sandwich in the skillet and cook until golden brown and the cheese is melted, about 3-4 minutes per side.
- Remove from the skillet, slice, and serve warm.
Notes
Choose your favorite bread for extra flavor. Pair with tomato soup for a classic combination.
