Pesto Grilled Cheese

A delicious twist on the classic grilled cheese sandwich with pesto and cheese.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 slices of bread
  • 2 slices of cheese (such as mozzarella or cheddar)
  • 2 tablespoons of pesto
  • Butter or olive oil for grilling

Instructions

  1. Spread pesto on one side of each slice of bread.
  2. Place a slice of cheese on the non-pesto side of one slice of bread.
  3. Top with the other slice of bread, pesto side down.
  4. Heat a skillet over medium heat and add butter or olive oil.
  5. Place the sandwich in the skillet and cook until golden brown and the cheese is melted, about 3-4 minutes per side.
  6. Remove from the skillet, slice, and serve warm.

Notes

Choose your favorite bread for extra flavor. Pair with tomato soup for a classic combination.
