Pesto Grilled Cheese

Ingredients

  • 2 slices sourdough bread
  • Cheese (cheddar, mozzarella, or your favorite meltable cheese)
  • Pesto sauce (fresh or store-bought)
  • Butter (for spreading)

Instructions

  1. Heat a skillet over medium heat.
  2. Butter one side of each slice of sourdough bread generously.
  3. On the unbuttered side of one slice, spread a generous layer of pesto sauce.
  4. Layer your choice of cheese on top of the pesto.
  5. Place the second slice of bread on top, ensuring the buttered side is facing up.
  6. Cook in the skillet for 3-4 minutes, then carefully flip and cook for another 3-4 minutes until both sides are golden and the cheese is melted.
  7. Serve warm and enjoy your delicious creation!

Notes

Consider adding sliced tomatoes or cooked bacon for a delicious twist. Can also be paired with a side salad or tomato soup.
