Seafood Dressing

A delightful seafood dressing combining various seafood with bread and spices, perfect as a side or stuffing option.

Ingredients

  • 1 pound of seafood (shrimp, crab, or scallops)
  • 4 cups of bread cubes
  • 1 cup of onion, chopped
  • 1 cup of celery, chopped
  • 1/2 cup of bell pepper, chopped
  • 1/2 cup of butter
  • 1 teaspoon of garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon of dried thyme
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 cup of seafood stock or broth
  • 1/4 cup of fresh parsley, chopped

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a large skillet, melt the butter over medium heat.
  3. Add the onion, celery, and bell pepper. Cook until the vegetables are soft.
  4. Stir in the garlic powder, thyme, salt, and pepper. Mix well.
  5. Add the seafood to the skillet, and cook for a few minutes until it is just cooked through.
  6. In a large bowl, combine the bread cubes and seafood mixture. Pour in the seafood stock and mix until the bread is evenly soaked.
  7. Transfer the mixture to a greased baking dish.
  8. Bake for about 25-30 minutes, or until the top is golden brown.
  9. Remove from the oven and sprinkle with fresh parsley before serving.

Notes

Use fresh seafood for better flavor. You can also customize with your favorite herbs.
