Seared Steak with Creamy Garlic Sauce

A delightful dish with rich flavors and a creamy texture, perfect for a special dinner or a comforting meal at home.

  • Total Time: 25 minutes
  • Yield: 2 servings 1x

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 boneless ribeye steaks
  • Salt and black pepper to taste
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
  • 1 tablespoon fresh parsley, chopped

Instructions

  1. Season the steaks with salt and black pepper.
  2. In a skillet, heat olive oil over medium-high heat.
  3. Add the steaks and sear for 4-5 minutes on each side, or until they reach your desired doneness.
  4. Remove the steaks from the skillet and let them rest.
  5. In the same skillet, add minced garlic and sauté for 1 minute.
  6. Stir in the heavy cream and Dijon mustard, cooking on low until the sauce thickens slightly.
  7. Pour the creamy sauce over the steaks and garnish with fresh parsley.
  8. Serve immediately.

Notes

Allow steaks to come to room temperature before cooking for even doneness. Use a meat thermometer to check doneness, aiming for 130°F for medium-rare.
