- 8 oz spaghetti or pasta of your choice
- 2 cups broccoli florets
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Parmesan cheese for serving (optional)
Instructions
- Boil water in a large pot and cook the pasta according to package instructions. In the last 2-3 minutes, add the broccoli florets.
- Drain the pasta and broccoli together and set aside.
- In a large skillet over medium heat, warm the olive oil. Add minced garlic and red pepper flakes (if using), and sauté until fragrant.
- Introduce the drained pasta and broccoli to the skillet. Toss to coat in oil and garlic.
- Season with salt and pepper. Serve warm, topped with Parmesan cheese if desired.
Notes
Feel free to use whole wheat or gluten-free pasta as alternatives. Add protein like grilled chicken or shrimp for a hearty meal.
