Broccoli Pasta

A quick and satisfying broccoli pasta dish with spaghetti, fresh broccoli, garlic, and a hint of spice, perfect for weeknight meals.

Ingredients

  • 8 oz spaghetti or pasta of your choice
  • 2 cups broccoli florets
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Parmesan cheese for serving (optional)

Instructions

  1. Boil water in a large pot and cook the pasta according to package instructions. In the last 2-3 minutes, add the broccoli florets.
  2. Drain the pasta and broccoli together and set aside.
  3. In a large skillet over medium heat, warm the olive oil. Add minced garlic and red pepper flakes (if using), and sauté until fragrant.
  4. Introduce the drained pasta and broccoli to the skillet. Toss to coat in oil and garlic.
  5. Season with salt and pepper. Serve warm, topped with Parmesan cheese if desired.

Notes

Feel free to use whole wheat or gluten-free pasta as alternatives. Add protein like grilled chicken or shrimp for a hearty meal.
