Ingredients

- 1 pound okra, sliced
- 1 pound shrimp, peeled and deveined
- 2 tomatoes, diced
- 1 onion, chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 bell pepper, chopped
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 1 teaspoon cayenne pepper (optional)
- 1 cup chicken broth
- Fresh parsley for garnish
Instructions
- Heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add the onion, garlic, and bell pepper, and sauté until softened.
- Stir in the okra and cook for about 5 minutes.
- Add the diced tomatoes, chicken broth, salt, pepper, and cayenne pepper (if using).
- Let the mixture simmer for about 10 minutes.
- Finally, add the shrimp and cook until they turn pink and opaque, about 3-5 minutes.
- Serve hot, garnished with fresh parsley.
Notes
Fresh okra is recommended for the best flavor, and you can modify the recipe with additional vegetables or seafood if desired.
