Sour Cream Beef Noodle Casserole

Ingredients

  • 8 oz egg noodles
  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 1 cup shredded cheese (cheddar or your choice)
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 can cream of mushroom soup
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Optional: chopped parsley for garnish

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Cook the egg noodles according to package instructions until al dente; drain.
  3. In a skillet, brown the ground beef over medium heat; drain excess fat.
  4. Add chopped onion and garlic to the meat, cooking until the onion is translucent.
  5. Stir in sour cream and cream of mushroom soup; mix well.
  6. In a large mixing bowl, combine the cooked noodles with the meat mixture, adding salt and pepper to taste.
  7. Transfer the mixture to a greased baking dish, and top with shredded cheese.
  8. Bake for 25-30 minutes or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
  9. Garnish with parsley if desired, then serve warm.

Notes

Make sure not to overcook the egg noodles; they should be slightly firm since they will continue to cook in the oven.
