- 8 oz egg noodles
- 1 lb ground beef
- 1 cup sour cream
- 1 cup shredded cheese (cheddar or your choice)
- 1 onion, chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 can cream of mushroom soup
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Optional: chopped parsley for garnish
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Cook the egg noodles according to package instructions until al dente; drain.
- In a skillet, brown the ground beef over medium heat; drain excess fat.
- Add chopped onion and garlic to the meat, cooking until the onion is translucent.
- Stir in sour cream and cream of mushroom soup; mix well.
- In a large mixing bowl, combine the cooked noodles with the meat mixture, adding salt and pepper to taste.
- Transfer the mixture to a greased baking dish, and top with shredded cheese.
- Bake for 25-30 minutes or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
- Garnish with parsley if desired, then serve warm.
Notes
Make sure not to overcook the egg noodles; they should be slightly firm since they will continue to cook in the oven.
