Ingredients
Scale
- 2 cups cooked rice
- 1 pound chicken breasts, cut into bite-sized pieces
- 1/4 cup soy sauce
- 2 tablespoons honey
- 2 tablespoons rice vinegar
- 1 tablespoon sesame oil
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tablespoon ginger, grated
- 1 cup mixed vegetables (e.g., bell pepper, broccoli, carrots)
- Sesame seeds and green onions for garnish
Instructions
- In a bowl, mix the soy sauce, honey, rice vinegar, sesame oil, minced garlic, and grated ginger to create a flavorful sauce.
- Heat a skillet over medium heat and add the bite-sized chicken pieces. Cook until they are browned and cooked through.
- Toss in the mixed vegetables and sauté until they are tender.
- Pour the prepared sauce over the chicken and vegetables, stirring well to coat. Continue cooking for an additional 2-3 minutes to allow the sauce to thicken slightly.
- Serve the sticky chicken mixture over the warm cooked rice. Garnish with sesame seeds and chopped green onions for that perfect finishing touch.
Notes
For extra flavor, marinate the chicken in the sauce for at least 30 minutes before cooking. Consider using a non-stick skillet to prevent any sticking.
