- 1 box of chocolate cake mix
- 4 large eggs
- 1 cup of water
- 1/2 cup of vegetable oil
- 1 cup of strawberries, chopped
- 8 oz cream cheese, softened
- 1 cup powdered sugar
- 1/2 cup shredded coconut
- 1/2 cup chopped nuts (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour a 9×13 inch cake pan.
- In a large bowl, mix the chocolate cake mix, water, vegetable oil, and eggs until smooth.
- Pour half of the batter into the prepared pan.
- In another bowl, mix the softened cream cheese and powdered sugar until smooth.
- Drop spoonfuls of the cream cheese mixture into the cake batter.
- Sprinkle the chopped strawberries, coconut, and nuts over the cream cheese layer.
- Pour the remaining half of the cake batter over the top.
- Bake for 30-35 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
- Let it cool before serving. Enjoy your delightful strawberry earthquake cake!
