Ingredients
Scale
- 2 teaspoons Salt
- 2 tablespoons Paprika
- 1 teaspoon Garlic Powder
- 2 teaspoons Chili Powder
- 1 teaspoon Onion Powder
- 1/4 teaspoon Cayenne Pepper (Optional)
- 16 slices American Cheese
- 1/4 cup Milk
- 1 tablespoon Liquid from the Jar of Jalapeño Slices
- 1 pound Ore-Ida Extra Crispy Frozen Fast Food Fries
- Vegetable Oil for Frying
Instructions
- In a small bowl, stir together your seasoning mixture.
- Fill a saucepan with oil at least 3 inches deep and heat it to 350°F (180°C).
- Cook the fries in the hot oil over medium-high heat for 6 to 8 minutes or until they are crispy. Move the fries to a plate lined with paper towels to soak up the extra oil.
- Let the fries cool slightly, then make the cheese sauce.
- Unwrap the cheese and tear the slices into smaller pieces. Place the cheese and other cheese sauce ingredients into a microwave-safe bowl.
- Microwave the mixture uncovered in 30-second intervals, stirring between each interval until the cheese has melted and is well combined with the other ingredients.
- Place the fries in a large mixing bowl and add them to the seasoning mix. Serve the fries with the cheese sauce on the side and enjoy!
Notes
Serve hot with cheese sauce for dipping. Add jalapeños, guacamole, or salsa for extra flavor.
