Ingredients
Scale
- 1 pound beef (flank steak or sirloin), thinly sliced
- 2 cups broccoli florets
- 1/2 cup soy sauce
- 1/2 cup beef broth
- 1/4 cup brown sugar
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tablespoon ginger, minced
- 2 tablespoons cornstarch
- 2 tablespoons water
- Cooked rice (for serving)
Instructions
- In a slow cooker, combine the sliced beef, soy sauce, beef broth, brown sugar, garlic, and ginger. Mix well.
- Cover and cook on low for 5-6 hours or until the beef is tender.
- About 30 minutes before serving, add the broccoli florets to the slow cooker.
- In a small bowl, mix cornstarch and water to create a slurry. Stir it into the slow cooker to thicken the sauce.
- Let it cook for an additional 30 minutes.
- Serve over cooked rice.
Notes
Use fresh ingredients for the best flavor. For thicker sauce, add more cornstarch mixed with water. Consider adding red pepper flakes for a spicy kick.
