Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a large bowl, combine the granulated sugar, corn syrup, and melted butter. Stir well.
  3. Crack in the eggs and add vanilla extract. Mix until smooth.
  4. Add chopped pecans and chocolate chips, gently folding them into the mixture.
  5. Prepare the pie crust in a pie dish.
  6. Pour the filling into the prepared pie crust.
  7. Bake for 60 to 70 minutes until set and the filling is slightly puffed.
  8. Let the pie cool before serving.
