- 1 pie crust
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1 cup corn syrup
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
- 4 large eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 cup chopped pecans
- 1 cup chocolate chips
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a large bowl, combine the granulated sugar, corn syrup, and melted butter. Stir well.
- Crack in the eggs and add vanilla extract. Mix until smooth.
- Add chopped pecans and chocolate chips, gently folding them into the mixture.
- Prepare the pie crust in a pie dish.
- Pour the filling into the prepared pie crust.
- Bake for 60 to 70 minutes until set and the filling is slightly puffed.
- Let the pie cool before serving.
Notes
Serve warm or cold with whipped cream or a scoop of vanilla ice cream.
