Ultimate Hot Chocolate

A rich and creamy hot chocolate perfect for cozy nights and cold days, easy to make at home with just a few ingredients.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 350ml Whole Milk
  • 500ml Double Cream
  • 300g Dark Chocolate
  • 4 tablespoons Icing Sugar

Instructions

  1. Lightly whip 60% of your double cream until you have very soft peaks and set aside in a cool place.
  2. Roughly chop the chocolate.
  3. Place the milk, icing sugar, and remaining double cream in a saucepan and gently warm over medium heat.
  4. Add in the chopped chocolate and reduce the heat to low.
  5. Stir for a couple of minutes until the chocolate has melted and mixed well, creating a glossy hot chocolate.
  6. Pour the hot chocolate into mugs and top each with a spoon of the whipped cream.
  7. Serve and enjoy!

Notes

Serve with extra toppings like chocolate shavings, marshmallows, or a sprinkle of cinnamon for more flavor. Best enjoyed warm.
